Wiki Loves Earth in Malta 2024

Wiki Loves Earth is an international photographic competition to promote natural heritage sites and creatures around the world, it is the second largest photography competition in the world. Follow these simple steps to take part:

Prizes

The top 10 winning photos taken at one of the 300 protected natural sites in Malta will be published in the Times of Malta. There may also be up to 5 additional honourable mentions, in either the Landscapes or Flora/Fauna (macro/close-up) categories. Local winners will be announced in September. The local winners will receive a goody bag from Wikimedia Community Malta during the 2024 Malta Book Festival and go through to the international competition.

How to enter

You can share as many of your photos as you like and these can have been taken at any time, you don't have to live in Malta to take part.

Please take photos with GPS turned on, if possible, both for photos of sites or creatures.

Images should not contain watermarks and will be published permanently via Wikimedia Commons under a CC-by-SA 4.0 license.

The competition runs from 1 May - 31 July 2024.
